It's that time again! I don't know about you, but I can't believe it's already November, and time to post Progress Reports for middle and high school students. And so, a few friendly reminders:
- Post early! The grading window is open for a few days, but posting early will help you prevent any last-minute emergencies.
- Take a look at your students' posted grades/scores before moving on. Does everything look okay? Did I give my star pupil a "needs improvement"? Always double-check before the grading window ends.
- Be sure to Save each time you post grades/scores for a section. If you do not save your posted grades/scores, and move on, the posting will not stick.
- Maintain your IC Grade Book on a regular basis. If you wait until the last minute to enter scores into your IC Grade Book, you'll leave yourself less time to post grades. Entering scores on a regular basis will not only make your life easier come time to post, it will also help students and parents who access the Portal to better understand the progress made in your class.
- Be sure to check out the Training Materials area and the Infinite Campus for Teachers page. There's a lot of training documents pertaining specifically to the Instruction module, including Grade Book and Assignments.
Do you have any grade-posting tips or tricks you want to share?
Elementary teachers, stay tuned... I'll be back to bring grading tips to you in January!
